Do not book for summer!
They advertise that they have air conditioning, but this is false. You can’t control the temperature, it is set by them for 22C, which is absolutely horrible during the summer. I complained, but they did nothing. Air conditioning is pretty important in a hot city summer, so I advise to stay away from this hotel!

Heel vriendelijk personeel, ze leggen op een behulpzame manier uit wat de moeite is om te bezichtigen en duiden dit aan op de kaart. Heel mooie, propere kamer. Enkel werkte een nachtlampje niet. Een staanlamp zou ook niet onhandig zijn. Topligging, veel te bezichtigen op wandelafstand en wat verder ligt kan je makkelijk bereiken met openbaar vervoer die vlakbij hotel stopt. Aanrader!

Not as charming as you think.
First let me say that the night manager Gregory as fabulous. He helped us with dinner reservations and recommendations, navigating the city and reservations for the baths. Can’t say enough good stuff about him. The rest of the staff was indifferent at best. The hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired. There is virtually no signage inside or out, the hotel sits on the third floor of an apartment building and there is nothing outside or inside to guide you. The elevator was sketchy. The lighting in the entry extremely poor. The neighborhood was so so. Guy passed out in the doorway one night we came in, trash in the entrance. it is close to all the sights and close to a subway stop. Our room was big, but a small bathroom(like most in Europe).

I wanted to love my stay at this hotel, aesthetically the property is gorgeous and the staff is lovely. It's also in a great location, close to public transportation, dining options, and stores. Unfortunately, the hotel did not have hot water for several days of my stay, this was not communicated to the guest by the staff, I had to check with the front desk every day for an update, and I also wasn't offered an alternative for showering. The rooms do not have phones, so if you need something from the front desk( which is not staffed over night) , your only option is to go to the desk . The hotel is also in a residential building, it's on the 3rd floor , and the residents of the building were extremely rude ( you can tell that they do not like having to share their space with a hotel). My room also smelled very heavily of cigarettes bc the person who lives above my room, smoked on their balcony.
