The hotel was in the centre of everything, very easy to see the attractions.
The rooms we got on the 4th floor were dated , very cold and noisy as the window did not close fully and the air con system didn’t do much .
The breakfast was served in the grand hall which was a complete farce , the concept was good but the staff were not clearly informed and we just got taken to a table sat there with nothing other than you can help ourselves at the Buffett , when I asked what about the items on the menu on the table I was told to order with waiter, no waiter arrived we were constantly having to grab anyone’s attention to get something ordered , the last morning we were seated outside the great hall we ordered coffees which never arrived and when asked again she came out with an order which was not our and left it on the table , terrible service overall for a 5 star hotel , the only place we got excellent service was in the lounge cafe on the ground floor which was outstanding
