「We have vacationed in Lake Gaston for 5 years. We absolutely love this area and the beautiful lake. However, this was our first year at ‘Floating and Boatin’, and it beyond surpassed our expectations. The home is so beautiful. The views of the lake make mornings on the porch heavenly, and the dock with its many toys impressed all of us from age 4 to age 76! I could go on forever…By far one of my favorite stays at Lake Gaston. Thank you Edie and Steve for a wonderful core memory vacation. 」

「We stayed for a week in August with 16 family members ranging from 11 to 87 Years old. House worked perfectly for us - huge kitchen, very larger dining room table, 3 bedrooms on ground floor for grandparents, and ready access to the lake for the kids. Plenty of games and quiet spaces in the house, and the owner was very responsive to all questions leading up to our stay. We had a great week! 」

「Spent 4 nights with adult children and 5 grandsons aged 2 and under. Plenty of space for all. Of course had to keep close eye on grandsons when close to water, but great floats, pedal boat, kayaks, canoe. Built a fire most nights. Good time together.」

「This house was good for our 2 small families. There was plenty of room and entertainment for the kids. Plenty of outdoor space with the 2 decks and dock with a great lake view. The kitchen was moderately stocked, it had most of the essentials, but missing some things like lager bowls for mixing or salad, cutting board, pasta strainer. The beds were ok, the linens weren’t the most comfortable and would honestly recommend bringing your own. But overall, our stay was good. 」

「Celebrated an 84th birthday with my mom, brothers and a few friends. Caught fish, grilled steaks, played with the dog and should have reserved for the whole week Definitely a winner! Plan on returning again.」

「It was a friends and family gathering. Nice place and surroundings. Right on waterfront. Can’t complain how easy it was to access water. Kayak’s, paddle boards, the biggg floating mat all added to the fun. Great property. We had good time. An opportunity to reconcile property manager clean up instructions to what was posted inside the property. I ended up paying a cleanup penalty on top of heavy cleaning fees paid upfront because of this confusion. On checkin bathroom trashcans were not...

「13 of us stayed at this house for 4 nights. We all had plenty of space to spread out and come together. The lake access is fantastic. There are so many amenities, even an ice maker. 「We’ve spent a decade on the Lake and we had another wonderful trip! THANK YOU to Mary who was a fantastic hostess from the very beginning – wildly responsive to messages, checked in on us every few days, provided recommendations in the area, and greeted us with flowers / coffee / chocolates at the house. She was spectacular! Some of our favorites: view of the lake from the sunroom – we enjoyed all our family meals here; the coziness of the fire pit and it was really nice to have the firewood...
