A cozy, private house that sits on 12 acres with a short walk to Lake Monroe. It has all you will need to have a relaxing visit whether you are escaping reality or In town to visit friends and family. Within minutes to The Pointe,The Inn of the Fourwinds, downtown Bloomington and the campus of Indiana University! Bloomington has so many amazing restaurants, great hiking and just a great spot for JOY!

Not steps away from the water and no steps to fire pit
Only access to the lake is via the road. The lake is .7 miles away so we suggest the owner updates the listing to note such as it is not “just steps away”. The only way down to the fire pit is a very steep hill at the back of the cabin so you have to go out the front door and walk around it to get down to it. The surrounding area was not flat so a bit dangerous to sit in chairs. Hill was too steep to hike. Cabin was nice and clean and owner was very responsive. A hot tub would had been awesome, but we knew upon booking there was none.

Check in was a breeze. It was clean and the location was beautiful. Communication with the property manager was always timely and well written. No downside!

Pictures don’t do it justice
Pleasantly surprised how nice, clean and cozy. Everything you need, from pans to tin foil and coffee and filters provided. Modern kitchen. Good water pressure in bathrooms. Beds are firm and comfortable. Have to go out back and down a hill for firewood so not easy if older or disabled. Property is loaded with trees, so gorgeous. Overall we loved our stay.

Quiet and relaxing getaway
Preston Hollow was quaint and comfortable. It was well stocked for all our needs. We enjoyed the back deck overlooking the woods and a walk down the road to see the lake. It met our needs for a weekend getaway near Bloomington.

Beautiful, quiet, perfect home
The house is right off a quiet road with the property behind it. The road it is on was perfect for morning runs. We made it down to the creek which is one of the most magical places I’ve seen. Location is ideal, about 10-20 minutes from anywhere we wanted to go. Communication was great. The house had everything we needed and the kids loved it. We cannot wait to book again!

A time in the woods
So relaxed. A quiet neighborhood with minimal street noise and spaced homes makes you feel removed from regular life and appreciating the woods and that nature call. The house was very clean and the bed were extremely comfortable (a big plus after hiking). A good location for heading into Bloomington for some fine dining. A lovely stay. Thank you.
