「We loved our room and the ambience of the hotel. Our room was perfect for organizing our backpacking stuff before big bend. Wifi was okay, water pressure and temp was great but height short for my 6 foot husband. We highly recommend the place for folks wanting to stay outside big bend NP. 」

「This was one of my best getaways I've ever had. There is plenty of exploring to be done here. Although you don't have to leave to see wildlife. The best part for me was the lack of cell service outside the property. Gave me a great opportunity to disconnect from my every day life」

「Our family of 5 had a great stay at Lajitas House. The property was exactly as listed and contained everything we needed for a great trip to Big Bend. The views from the kitchen table each morning and the fire pit for stargazing each night were some of our favorite parts about the house. Communication was great and we had no problems during our stay.」

「We needed a place near the airport and this house was perfect for our situation. The neighbors’ barking dogs were a problem as they woke me up in the night. 」

「Since we planned to utilize the yard area, we found it a little disappointing, mainly needed a little more upkeep. Patio was covered with leaves and dirt, as was the table there as well, which could easily been improved with a little cleaning. There were also plastic bottles, papers, pieces of aluminum foil, forks and broken glass strewed around the yard. Also backyard gate only had part of the lock attached; so couldn’t be locked. All these things could easily be remedied to bring this nice...

「The house is beautiful and perfectly captures the west Texas feel. It was very convenient for visiting both the state and national parks and terligua, but off the beaten path enough for some solitude. Kitchen had everything we needed and was very clean. No tv, but that was a plus- more time for star gazing. Only critique was shower pressure was very low, but it wasn't a big issue for us as we were out hiking every day. Would definitely recommend! It exceeded our expectations.」

「Went for the chili cook off. Enjoyed BBNP. Cemetery for day of the dead is a must experience. Locution was perfect, close to everything. Unpaved road to the property is rough. Glad we had our Bronco. The property is exactly as described. Quiet and peaceful but close to lots of activities. 」
