Beautiful solar powered home for couples who enjoy wine tasting and hosting friends. Yelp shows there are 40 wineries, tasting rooms or vinyard within a ten mile radius of this property. Enjoy a 360 degree stunning view which includes Rattlesnake Mountain, the orchards and vineyards of Benton City, WA, plus the orchards and vineyards of Red Mountain. Interesting wine note: Red Mountain has it's own AVA. Entertain friends on the patio while relaxing in comfortable outdoor chairs. Soak in the beautiful sunsets. Enjoy cooking in a well-stocked kitchen with large spice collection or outside on the BBQ. Kitchen has a conventional oven and stove top as well as a microwave and air-fryer.

Listen to the soothing sound from small pond near the window. Take a stroll and enjoy the desert style landscape viewing sage brush and native plants. Sip your favorite Washington wine on the patio with fantastic view or in front of the wood stove on a cold winter night. Hot tub near the patio is available for guests to relax and enjoy the view.

This is a beautiful home to visit any time of the year. Flat screen TV's in every bedroom and living room. The installed solar system will generate more power than you will consume during your stay.

Free electric vehicle charging in the garage and 50A, 30A x 240VAC RV box outside for your RV needs.

Benton City Beauty
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, clean home. Close to Richland, but out away enough for privacy. The hot tub was a fun treat. The host was so nice and communicated with us kindly. And a bottle of wine greeted us as we arrived. Lots of room for everyone!

Wine tasting and relaxing
This house is not only in a beautiful setting with views in all directions but perfectly situated for a wine tasting weekend! The layout is perfect for family/friends meeting to connect. We love to cook and the kitchen is spacious and functional. James added lovely touches to enhance our stay. There is a level of comfort that is added with this home with history and hand made furniture by James himself that makes it welcoming, comfortable, and a place we plan to return to! Thanks James!

perfect landing spot
We had to travel for a family tragedy and needed somewhere that we could be together. Having a house as opposed to a hotel made it much simpler. we were able to cook for the funeral and have somewhere that the kids could escape from the stress of funeral preparations, etc. 2 minor issues: Key pad was difficult to use knives were dull

This was the perfect house for our stay. Clean, modern, and comfortable with all the amenities. It was 102 during our stay, the AC worked well. Very close to over a dozen Red Mountain wineries. A+ overall!

Great Location
We were on a golf/wine trip. Location was perfect. Close to wineries, Prosser and Tri-Cities. House was perfect for what we needed. Very close to the freeway but was amazed how quiet it was inside. Had a small struggle learning how to operate the door keypad, but that was nothing major. All in all, fit the bill perfectly.

Very comfortable and beautiful sunsets.
Although we didn't have a bottle of wine set out to greet us (saw that the previous guest did), we still enjoyed the soft beds and beautiful views out back. We used this as a base as we travelled to Pomeroy and back to visit family graves. It was so comforting to relax and share memories in this beautiful home. I was so taken by the view out the patio windows. Although it is right next to the freeway, you'd never know it. Lovely home. My sister and I thank you.

FABULOUS!
Jim is an EXCELLENT host, very thoughtful and accommodating. He made sure we could reach out to him with anything we needed to enjoy our stay. However, there was nothing to need, he has all bases covered! Our daughter is in a wheelchair, so this home was perfect being one level. Beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean. Plenty of towels. Bbq and hot tub clean and in perfect working order. He even has a brochure rack for things to do, places to go and eateries. Love it! Plenty to keep yourself busy out and about or just chill here with the BEAUTIFUL VIEW! Also love his nice tidy landscape. Great location, other homes far enough away for privacy. If you have small kids, visit the Gesa Carousel! 🎠 Highly recommend this vacation home!

Jim is the best host ever. Property was well stocked with everything you could ask for - I’ve stayed at well over 2 dozen VRBO’s and Jim really goes out of his way to make sure you will have everything you need. Spices, coffee, tons of towels, cleaning supplies, nice wine glasses, pamphlets about all of the local wineries and attractions, great WiFi and TV’s, great views, and just a few miles from Benton City. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

This house was the perfect spot for a two week work trip. The owner was extremely informative and communicative throughout the entire process of booking and making sure we had everything we needed. The property is well equipped with cooking utensils and an entire cabinet has spices and other cooking basics. I highly recommend staying at this wonderful oasis!
