Overall I enjoyed my stay but as feedback for this property owner, I feel obligated to let them know about some issues below:
The unit could use some added attention to cleanliness. The bed linens (pillows, duvet) could use replacing and/or a really good washing. I had to use my own pillow because the pillows smelled like dirty hair and I had to turn the duvet upside down because one of the corners smelled like bad body odor. The bed sheets were clean, but the items contained in the clean linens smelled bad.
There were also few ants crawling around the kitchen. This is understandable with the unit being in the 'country' and in a sandy red clay soil area, but the property owner may want to address this issue before it gets too bad, as there were also many many tiny fire ant holes and small hills.
When I opened the blinds to let some fresh air in most of them came crashing down because some of them did not have the brackets on top to hold them in place. There was also damage to one of the blinds like some animal chewed it away. Half of the windows did not have screens to keep the bugs out.
Also as an FYI to other guests. This rental unit is on land very close to other guests. It was not a huge deal, but I did not expect there to be an RV extremely close to my rental unit, which detracted from some of the privacy and peace and quiet.
Overall I enjoyed my stay but if it were not for the things listed above (and a couple more things), it would have been amazing.
