「We only ended up staying 1 night here due to last minute changes in travel plans but our stay was lovely. It's in a peaceful area of Nuwara Eliya and just a short ride into the main part of the town. Vinsan was a great host. He was very helpful and even prepared our 15 month old little boy his own special breakfast (without us mentioning it or asking) and our breakfast was ery nice. He dropped us off in his Tuk Tuk to the station at Nanu Oya in perfect time to catch our train. Would recommend....

「Foods are okay. Damaged/torn bedding and towels, dust came from the ceiling, used/dirty duvet covers, one bed was broken and kept top of the on the wood, outdated shower room. Not value for money. 」

「We had a lovely one night stay at Ferncliff, it was just lovely and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as a very well run ‘b&b’ type hotel but much more luxurious. Bernard in particular was fantastic, especially his cooking — we had both dinner and breakfast there. Very glad we chose this over the ‘grand hotel’ in the end. 」

「You'll have to step onto a narrow path that sometimes goes up, sometimes goes down, takes a turn or two to the left, to the right, to finally emerge in front of "Silver Dome Guest House". Mind the map to arrive there for taking a wrong turn is easily done, especially during night time. The building is deeply hidden into Ella which happened to be, as another foreigner had once put it to me, only "a street of bars, restaurants and services for Westerners mostly".
