I had booked 4 rooms, for 7 pax.
Out of which we only got 1 room as per the booking i.e TRADITIONAL ROOM WITH 2 Queen Beds.
The rest 3 out of 4 rooms were not available during check-in and we were dumped into smaller rooms with 2 single beds.
Inpite of having a prepaid booking, a month in advance, our rooms were not available. We were treated like walki-in clients and told take what we were getting. It was a very disappointing and terrible experience.
After complaining and writing to the ROOMS DIVISION manager, we were told it was an upgrade. The staff at Four Points Sheraton is not at all serious and considerate. I am shocked that hotel of this high standard can take their clients for a ride and cheat you. It is so humiliating.
I have travelled enough, to make out a difference between an upgrade and a downgrade of room. A smaller room with 2 single beds from the room originally booked is explained to me as an upgrade, this is totally not acceptable.
I do not know how EXPEDIA will be able to help me resolve this matter, but I have surely learnt a lesson, never to prepay a booking so at least you have a choice to walk out or settle for what you are paying for.
