Welcome to my tiny house. Tastefully and stylishly decorated by a professional interior stylist for two or three people. Enjoy a warm fire at the beautiful pellet stove and the wood stove in the garden. Sleep on the loft or if climbing stairs is difficult, on the sofa bed downstairs. Equipped with a private rain shower and toilet and a complete mini kitchen. French doors to the garden where you can sit with your cup of coffee or a glass of wine with a view of the beautiful old plum tree. A private entrance, all for yourself. Wonderfully quiet and yet only a 3-minute walk from the bustling city center and the train station.
Read the information about parking carefully below.
To sleep:
You sleep in the double bed of 1.40 x 2.00 m on the loft. Accessible by a fixed staircase. The staircase has no handrail and the loft has no gate. There is a sturdy handle at the top of the stairs.
If stairs are difficult, the sofa bed (1 person) can also be folded out. This can also be used for a third person in a group of 3.
The beds are made when you arrive.
Bathroom:
Rain shower, hand shower, toilet, sink, mirror, hair dryer. Includes bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toilet paper.
Pay attention! You cannot flush anything down the toilet except faeces and toilet paper. So no wet wipes, condoms or anything else. If you do this, the sanitizer engine will jam and unfortunately I will have to recover the plumbing costs from you.
Kitchenette:
Pans, crockery, cutlery, fridge, hob for 1 pan, Nespresso machine, kettle, washing up liquid, coffee, tea, kitchen towel, dishcloth and tea towel.
Living:
Pellet stove, dining table, two chairs, sofa bed, WiFi, patio doors to the garden.
There is no TV, so bring your laptop.
Outside:
Wood stove, patio, garden shared with hostess
Request:
Ironing board, iron.
Against payment:
Use of washing machine €5 and dryer €5 per wash.
Size:
This is a tiny house with a floor area of 21m2. That means it's fine for 2 people and gets a bit cramped with a third person. Keep this in mind.
Parking:
In this district, adjacent to the center, there is paid parking. You cannot park in front of the door. You can park your car for free at a 8-minute walk away. At 7 minutes walking distance you can park the car for €3 per day in a parking garage (opposite the Action and the Aldi) or for €5 per day in a parking lot outside (near the cinema).
The district is about 100 years old and the streets are narrow. If you drive a larger car, it is recommended to park on the Geestersingel. You then walk about 75 meters to the house.
Tourist tax:
The tourist tax is €2.73 per person from 18 years per night. This can be paid in cash on arrival or via PayPal (Deborah Vroegop).
Pellets:
The cottage is in winter heated by a pellet stove. Given the price increase in pellet pellets (3.5 times the original price), I charge €5 per half bag of pellet pellets. If you are out and about during the day, you can use this for 2 to 3 days. Bring a warm sweater and slippers.
