Room in need of updating; no deadbolt on door; poor air conditioning; room and towels smelled musty; evidence of mold on ceiling shower

What a wonderful stay we had. Sounds of laughter and families enjoying their time together. Beautiful sunsets, fishing from the dock, cooking on the grill, clean and comfy room with a view of the lake. All in all an awesome vacation location. Thank you, Peter’s Sunset Resort!

I thought the property was beautiful. We ended up leaving a day early. We did have issues with our hot water, and one of the lights, and also had no cold air.

My husband and I needed a place with no smoking and no pets. We were attending a reunion in neighboring Morris. We chose to try Peter’s resort even though it was 28 miles away. We were in the Annex and able to look at the peaceful lake from two big windows. Hardwood floors and simple furnishings were simple and quaint. Bed was comfortable. It was quiet and didn’t have a lot of lights outside. Price was so reasonable. We will come back!

Our room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was lakeside with beautiful sunsets. There were great restaurants in the area. I would stay here again.
We came up for Waterama and booked our hotel only about a week in advance so that created limited options. We ended up with a fist floor unit in what I would call a small apartment complex. It had 2 stories and I think there were 8, maybe 10 units in total. Our room was ready when we go there since check-in was 4:30. The room was clean, had a view of the lake from the windows but there was a street separating the unit from the lake. No big deal, just something to note. There was a lot of foot traffic and people hanging out on the small patio area which happened to be right outside our room so we had to close all the blinds during the day to get any privacy at all. The rooms are fine, just a bit tired and outdated. The bathroom is quite small but usable. Not that you're looking for modern electronics when going to a lake cabin, but at night it was nice to have a small tv and dvd player. There were only about 6 channels to watch as the other couldn't pick up a signal. The second day we drove into Alexandria for breakfast as there are very few places to eat in Glenwood and the resort had their main kitchen closed for a couple weeks. As we were in Alexandria, we got a call from the resort saying that we needed to move rooms so we had to drive back, pack up and move upstairs. Which was a nicer room that felt more private and quiet because you couldn't hear people walking above you any longer. Nothing within walking distance if you leave the resort.
