"I love the staff so much! Super kind, optimistic, and happy people. The amount of different onsens they have are really awesome with an amazing view! You can get a 9 course dinner, and the breakfast is really filling too. I highly recommend getting your private onsen if you have tattoos since they dont allow them in the public onsens. If you have a small one, you have to cover it up. Would definitely come back again:)"

"Great location close to the castle, station and Kurokabe square. Hotel itself is nothing special, rooms are small and if you're unlucky enough to have noisy neighbours you wont sleep much."

"If you are looking for a remote lake get away in northern Otsu this is ideal. This location suits the out door adventure types who want to be away from Otsu city. The lake was an amazing place to swim. What also would be a Great Lake side party atmosphere and relaxation with a group of friends. Amazing cleanliness despite the overall facility being quite old. However rooms and common room air conditioned which was a life saver in the hight of a Japanese summer. The Hostel is not located near...

"We loved this ryokan experience! It had everything we were hoping for. Dinner and breakfast were magnificent, the multi-course meals had us full and pleasantly surprised. We love the private onsen and yukata as well The staff here were super helpful and wanted us to have a nice stay. Most of them can help in basic English, but there were a few who you have to take out the translator for which was not a big issue"
