This is a hard review to write because there was substantial advantages and good points but also some concerns.
I’ll start with the good points. Nice breakfast with a variety of protein (eggs, sausage, yougurt) and carbs (pastries, fresh bread, etc.). Great location as it is close to many sights (Temple of Aphaia, beaches) but still only a 15- minute drive from Aegina town. Pool is beautiful. Staff very friendly and helpful.
But unfortunately not everything was perfect. We had to switch rooms after two nights because the A/C wasn’t working. Those nights were very hot. And it took quite a bit of convincing to get the rather crusty owner to acknowledge the problem. (We even went to a hardware store and bought a thermometer!) In the second room (which was very large and cool), the bed wasn’t great. And lastly, the wifi sucked. We always used data.
Driving around, the hotel stock in Aegina seems rather poor (compared to what I’m used to), so this might actually have been one of the nicest places.
